From the CNN website

“I’m surprised that they’re saying that there’s no politics involved, and we’re still 2½ weeks away from April Fool’s Day,” said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-New Hampshire, chairman of the Senate panel. “How can they possibly stand there with a straight face and say that’s not politics? Of course it’s politics.” [bold is mine -ld]

One would think that a “news” story could get this correct – after all there are only 100 Senators and I can Google that list pretty fast.. It isn’t that Leahy is a new Senator – he’s been there a long time. Guess CNN doesn’t fact check even these basics. Or they think Vermont and New Hampshire are one and the same? Or they have taken a page from Faux Noise who make a habit of mislabeling.

Leahy is D-Vermont.
