Today a political person who seems to love the spotlight said her critics "should not manufacture a blood libel"…….<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In choosing these words – blood libel – this person is:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1 – either ignorant of what the term means<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2 – or knows what it means and chose to use it anyway<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Just Googling the phrase you can see it has been used as an anti-Semitic term for centuries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We have to assume this person and her staff know about Google and thus we have to think this political person choose to use anti-Semitic language when again commenting about herself vis-a-vis the shootings this past weekend.  Shootings in which many died and a Jewish Congressperson was shot in the head – and after which there has been a call for less heated rhetoric.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Some people who love the media spotlight seem to think only of themselves and try to make themselves into victims – and worse they do this using language that continues to inflame…while ignoring the reality of what happened.

Words have meanings – choose yours carefully – especially when you are seeking the national spotlight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
