My son reminded me about my favorite poem so I&#8217;ll put it here:<\/p>\n<p>Ozymandias<\/p>\n<p>I met a traveler from an antique land<br \/>Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone<br \/>Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,<br \/>Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,<br \/>And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,<br \/>Tell that its sculptor well those passions read,<br \/>Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,<br \/>The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed,<br \/>And on the pedestal these words appear:<br \/>&#8220;My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:<br \/>Look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!&#8221;<br \/>Nothing beside remains. Round the decay<br \/>Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare<br \/>The lone and level sands stretch far away.<\/p>\n<p>Percy Bysshe Shelley<br \/>1792-1822<\/p>\n<p>That became my favorite poem way back in high school.   Maybe I knew even then even the most vile of administrations fall &#8211;  and fall because of their own internal doings.   It&#8217;s probably why I also love &#8220;Yertle the Turtle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another of my favorite sayings is:  &#8220;Be careful what you wish for because you might get it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To all who voted for the shrub and for all who voted for Alito &#8211; you will get what you wished for!
