Please join us for the 11th Annual "Human Rights<\/span> on the Hill" program, coordinated by Joshua Cooper, Ph.D. <\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

\tThis year's week-long program will be based at UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, (4340 Connecticut Ave., NW – Van Ness\/UDC Metro) but will feature "field trips" to the OAS and other locations, so be sure to read the schedule carefully!<\/p>\n

\tParticipants this year will hear from human rights celebrities such as Nobel Laureate Oscar Arias, Washington Post longtime columnist and peace advocate Colman McCarthy, former Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael Barnes and others, as well as: <\/p>\n

\t– activists from Greenpeace, Amnesty International, Peace Action, Nonviolence International, the Institute for Policy Studies, Food and Water Watch, the Rights Working Group, the Uyghur Human Rights Project and more; <\/p>\n

\t– academics from American University, UDC, and the University of Hawaii;<\/p>\n

\t– and government and quasi-governmental officials from the U.S. State Department, the World Bank, UNICEF, the Organization of American States and more!<\/p>\n

\tThere is no charge for this always-FABULOUS program, but donations are requested to help defray costs.  <\/p>\n
