And even with increases in the minimum wage, jobs are not being created that pay much more than that minimum wage.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"tve_p_left\" contenteditable=\"false\">\nOlder people with experience are seen as requiring higher pay levels.&nbsp;It's better for the bottom line to hire young people for lower pay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"tve_p_center\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><font color=\"#2c8ff4\">\n<span class=\"bold_text\">Then there is the office mentality [it's a well kept secret] of not hiring people smarter or more capable than you <\/span><br><span class=\"bold_text\">because they <\/span><span class=\"bold_text\">might be out to \"get\" your job.<\/span><\/font>\n<\/h1>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" contenteditable=\"false\">\nPeople who are not seen as threats are safer hires.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" contenteditable=\"false\">\nIn short: The job market isn't going to look good for older workers for a long while - if ever. And if you rely on Social Security - it's not going to increase by anything more than a small percent each year.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\nI therefore put this question out there for you:\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\nIf you want to increase your income [and most do] why not be your own boss?\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"tve_p_center\" contenteditable=\"false\">\nStop job hunting!\n<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" contenteditable=\"false\">\nFor many, job hunting is a debilitating experience. You apply for many jobs and do not even get a courtesy reply of \"sorry.\" You don't even get an acknowledgement that your resume has been received. In fact, you never hear anything from the places you apply to.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\nAnd if you do manage to get a live interview, you may still never hear from them again.
