As I pondered an unknown time with no electricity – here are some thoughts I had<\/span><\/p>\n

Things to be grateful for<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A French press for my coffee<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Gas stove and hot water heater<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Matches to ignite gas stove<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Summer and DST<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Good neighbors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Things to remember [there is always the \u201cnext\u201d time]<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Grind sufficient coffee beans the night before<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Fully charge computer and cell phone every night<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      PS<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      I don\u2019t use a lot of electricity, but when it goes out, I get to think about all the things I have that require electricity.<\/span><\/p>\n

      So I will be very thankful when the electricity comes back on\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

      And remember that the estimated time for restoration is a moving target<\/span><\/p>\n

      PPS – It finally came back and I am able to post this – phew
