  • Pets: why I love them

    cats in a bath tub

Some of you know that I lost both of my pets last Fall – one died of old age and the other tragically.  I was a mess and I was depressed….for a long time…

When I was ready – I adopted two kittens – thinking that two would not make me the source of all fun ;) and yup that was the correct thing to do.

The female kitten [Sassy black ]was about 3 1/2 months and the male [Smokie gray] about 2 1/2 months when I adopted them in late December.

After getting over being sick and then getting adjusted to a  new place they have taken over my house!

    Including the bath tub

    And I am not depressed!!

  • Wake Up – I Want to Play!

I still miss Sheba but having adopted these 2 young kittens was a good thing for me and for them…It's been many decades since I have had kittens this young – and never 2 at the same time.

Now I know how my friends with twins felt with two beings often on two different schedules.

  • You Can Take This House With You

Living in a floating home has some benefits. You CAN actually take your house with you…..

only if you can find a new place to moor it [and that's getting rarer by the day.]

This short clip shows 2 floating homes going to new spots….

Enjoy – and please comment below – thank you

  • A most rare December day

What is so rare as a day in June?

A dry sunny day for December 1 in Portland Oregon!!

Rare too that I could be out in the open with my camera!

So rare that I had to memorialize it with a panoramic sweep from my upper deck!

49 degrees F but it felt GOOD!

    sunny December day PDX  WOW!!

Don't feel jealous – it will rain again soon enough….
